Resonance
A visual metaphor for amplification—where repeated signals build strength over time, echoing how active ingredients, performance, or benefits are reinforced layer by layer in products from haircare to technology.
A suspended moment of sound made visible. Waveforms curve and repeat, light gathering where energy is pushed and reflected. Each echo strengthens the next—a cascading signal, folding back on itself, until amplification becomes form.
Technical
A ripple solver is used to drive the outward echo motion, propagating wave energy from a central impulse. The solver controls timing, falloff, and repetition, allowing the motion to read as cascading amplification rather than a single event.
Approach
Started by studying visual references of echo and sound propagation, focusing on how arches repeat, space themselves, and fade over time.
From there, I theorised that the effect could be achieved through a custom solver. After testing, a ripple solver was used to introduce a more organic sense of timing and falloff, leading to the final cascading forms seen here.
